Roland Abreu
Double bassist and composer Roland Abreu is a native of Havana, but has lived in Wrocław since he was 20, where he graduated from the Academy of Music. He is also a graduate of one of the most famous conservatories in Cuba - the Guillermo Tomas Bouffartigues Conservatory of Music in Havana. He is the leader of The Cuban Latin Jazz, a quartet playing a danceable fusion of Cuban and jazz music. He has participated in numerous festivals, including Jazz Plaza. He has performed alongside such stars and bands as the Klazz Brothers, Bobby Carcasses and Afrojazz, Michel Herrera and Jovenjazz, Jadasni Portillo and Cause, Ernesto Camilo, Luis Nubiola. He also performs with the group Cuba Percussion and Yaqueline Castellanos.
