Remigiusz Knapik

Remigiusz Knapik is a composer and pianist. He graduated with honours from the Wrocław School of Jazz and Popular Music and then from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in the jazz piano department. A musical universalist who draws inspiration from different, sometimes very distant worlds. He is a versatile musician and uninterested in stylistic divisions; in his music one can experience technical enthusiasm, uncompromising expression, but also economy of space and deep calm. He is inspired by the diverse handling of timbre, which in recent years has been a combination of acoustic piano and ancient polyphonic electronics that enrich the resonance of the strings.
