In three complementary exhibitions, C/O Berlin presents the representation of identity, gender, and sexual orientation and locates them within photography. In contrast to other media, photography not only represents sexual orientation and identity, but also contributes significantly to their socio-political determination. Since its invention in 1839, the medium has also served to categorize people visually. In doing so, the three exhibitions aim to celebrate a multi-layered, visual panorama of queer photography.
