Przestrzeń Muzyki Współczesnej Hashtag Lab
Hashtag Lab is the youngest Social Cultural Institution of the City of Warsaw, run by the Sfera Harmonii Foundation, which organises events devoted to contemporary classical music here. It is the first and only permanent stage for new music in Poland; concerts, educational workshops, children's activities and masterclasses are held here. It aims to be a place to meet and talk about important things, connect artists, host composers, create new ideas and carry out social activities. The Hashtag Lab is housed in a modernist villa in the Stara Ochota districs, which in the 20th century served as a cultural salon—it hosted scientific seminars and gave receptions for foreign bigwigs; Warsaw intellectuals and artists, including prominent 20th century composers such as Krzysztof Penderecki and Witold Lutosławski, were known to be frequent guests.
