Park Staszica

It is located in the northern regions of Wrocław's Nadodrze River and constitutes a green asylum for this part of the former Odrzański Suburb. This triangular area of about five hectares was created in 1905-1908 and is considered to be the first modernist park in Wrocław – mainly due to its simple composition and promotion of a non-traditional model of spending time. Traditional in this case meant contemplative, and modernist – focused on active recreation and recreation. Hence the centrally located sports and entertainment squares isolated from the streets surrounding the park with high vegetation.
