Muzeum Warmii i Mazur
The Museum of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn was established in 1945. The museum is housed in a 14th-century Gothic castle, built for the administrator of the Warmia Chapter property. In the years 1516 - 1521 Nicolaus Copernicus performed this function here. The museum collects memorabilia of the region's past in the fields of archaeology, history and numismatics, old and modern art, artistic craftsmanship, writing and folk culture. The unique character of the collections is created, among others, by the following collections: Gothic sculpture, religious painting of Varmia, Dutch portrait, convoy and folklore products, contemporary graphics.
