Muzeum Miasta Łodzi
The seat of the City of Łódź Museum is located in the former palace of the Poznański family, one of the richest factory families of Łódź in the 19th century. The monumental residence is the most recognizable building and showcase of the city and testimony of the nineteenth-century history of Łódź, which from a small settlement in decades became the center of the textile industry of the Kingdom of Poland. In addition to representative rooms and the Pantheon of the Great Lodzians, on the first floor we will visit the private quarters of the Poznanski family. A typical Łódź courtyard from the beginning of the 20th century was recreated in the palace underground. "In a common yard - a melting pot of cultures and denominations in Łódź" - is an exhibition presenting souvenirs from ancient Łódź related to the four cultures present in the city - Polish, German, Russian and Jewish.
