Mir
The Mir duo consists of vibraphonist, percussionist and composer Miłosz Pękala and multi-instrumentalist Bartosz Weber, musicians associated with Warsaw's improvised music scene and the label Lado ABC (including the band Mitch & Mitch). They make lush music based on electronics and instrumental improvisation, referencing sources from 1950s exotica to ECM jazz, turn-of-the-millennium dub techno and Chicago-style post-rock. They debuted in 2020 with the album On the Rim; their second album, inspired by Solaris by Stanislaw Lem, was released in 2023.
