Marcin Pater
Marcin Pater - a graduate of the Faculty of Jazz at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in vibraphone class, currently a student at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow. During his studies he trained under the supervision of the outstanding Polish vibraphonist Bernard Masela. He also attended the Royal Conservatory of Music in the Netherlands, in The Hague, where he honed his skills under the tutelage of the renowned Slovak vibraphonist Miro Herak. Together with Marcin Pater Trio, he has won awards at prestigious festivals and competitions in Poland and abroad: Grand Prix at the Jazz Nad Odrą festival, Grand Prix at the Jazz Juniors festival, 1st prize at the Sibiu Jazz Contest international jazz band competition, 1st prize at the RCK Pro Jazz Festival. Apart from band achievements, he can also add many individual prizes to his artistic output.
