Vellocet Roll

Prague post-punk group Vellocet Roll released their debut album A Man Asleep in 2019 on Theremin Records, which ensured their unmistakable dirty sound. Live, the five-member line-up creates a sound collage full of psychedelia, foggy guitars mix with neurotic saxophone surfaces. On the album A Land Ridden by Darkness (Full Moon Forum, 2021), the band supplements its dense energetic sound with free jazz passages. Almost exactly one year after the second long-playing album, Vellocet comes with another recording, where they decided to use Czech for the first time. The EP Halcyon Days captures the band in a more straightforward punk fashion, the band's five-member line-up was expanded by Ján Podskalský (guitar), at concerts the sound is complemented by the percussion of Josef Hradilk (Dukla).
