Tonya Graves

Tonya Graves (born December 17, 1969 in Peekskill, New York) is an American singer and actress living in the Czech Republic.

She was born in Peekskill, New York. She moved to Prague in 1995. She collaborated with guitarist Luboš Andršt and later worked in the band Liquid Harmony. She also sang on the concert album Live from Bunkr – Prague by Noel Redding and Ivan Kral. She spent a number of years in the band Monkey Business. She left this band in 2016, when she was replaced by Tereza Černochová. In 2011, she released her first solo album, I'm the Only Me, followed by Back to Blues in 2015.

As an actress, she appeared in the TV series Případy detektivní kanceláře Ostrozrak, played the female lead in the TV comedy Iguo Igua and in Jiří Menzel's film Obsluhoval jsem anglického krále, she performed as Haile Selassie I, Emperor of Abyssinia. In 2019, she participated in the dance competition Stardance, where she finished in 9th place.
