The Afghan Whigs

The Afghan Whigs winded up on the alternate radar with the album -Congregation in 1992 and grew into one of the most interesting and beloved bands in American rock with the sequel Gentlemen followed by the masterpiece Black Love in 1996. After the even more soul adorned 1965 leader Greg Dulli disbanded the band and spent nearly fifteen years solo before returning in 2014 with Do The Beast, the band´s first ever top 40 album. With of release In Spades – and the new single Demon in Profile! – The Afghan Whigs are once again a real band with a steady lineup – Dulli, guitarist Dave Rosser and Jon Skibic, drummer Patrick Keeler, multiinstumentalist Rick Nelson and bassist / co-founder John Curley.
