When in April 2019 Extinction Rebellion blocked London’s main roads in the name of protecting the climate, very few thought their adamance would force the British government to act against climate collapse. The movement, now with supporters and autonomous branches across the world (including Czechia), acts on the principle of civil disobedience and non-violent resistance. The film sheds light on how this type of activism works and on the British government’s reaction. It also uses the story of Roger Hallam, one of the movement’s founders, and his daughter to show how great commitment to a cause may overflow into an activist’s personal life.
