Rafał Sarnecki
Rafał Sarnecki is a Polish jazz guitarist, composer and arranger. As a leader of his own musical projects, he has given concerts in many countries in Europe and around the world. From 2005 to 2018 he lived in New York, actively participating in the musical life of the city. In 2005 he received a scholarship to the prestigious jazz department at the New School University in New York, he also completed his master's degree in jazz at Queens College CUNY. In 2015 he defended his doctoral thesis at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and obtained the degree of Doctor of Musical Art in the artistic discipline of composition and theory of music. He has authored albums: Songs from a New Place, The Madman Rambles Again, Cat's Dream and Climbing Trees. He has been nominated twice for the Fryderyk award.
