Pvris was formed in 2009 by frontwoman, vocalist and guitarist Lyndsey Gunnulfsen—originally as a metalcore band called Operation Guillotine. After playing on Warped Tour and releasing of one EP, the band endured a name change, personnel rotations and a 'subconscious' turn towards electropop, and after this period of change released their debut album White Noise to good reviews and commendable chart results. Since then, they have released two more albums, toured in support of Muse, Fall Out Boy and 30 Seconds to Mars, played on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Last Call with Carson Daly, and have been positively reviewed by the New York Times, Rolling Stone and Alternative Press. Their latest album is 2023's Evergreen.
