Ingrid Sotolářová
Ingrid Sotolářová is originally a pianist and piano teacher from Brno. She also performs as part of GiArt Dúo.
After graduating from the Brno Conservatory with Dr. Jana Soharová and JAMU with prof. Doc. Inessa Janíčková, accompanied by several prizes in national piano competitions for the Beethoven's Hradec Prize, she joined the National Theatre in Brno as a ballet accompanist and also worked for a short time at the Music and Dance Conservatory and JAMU in Brno. Since 1992, she and her son have lived abroad, first in Galicia, Spain, and for the last ten years in neighbouring Portugal, where she has worked as a piano teacher and accompanist at professional music schools, conservatories and universities. She also occasionally performs in concert, either as a member of various chamber groups or as a soloist, in Spain and Portugal, as well as in other countries (Czech Republic, Greece, Brazil). She is regularly invited to participate in piano masterclasses and juries of international piano competitions in Portugal and the Czech Republic.
