Aki Rissanen

Aki Rissanen, born in 1980 in Kuopio, Finland, is a pianist and composer who has also made a name for himself on the international jazz scene in recent years, especially as leader of his own trio. Although originally trained in classical music, he has always had a heart for improvisation and jazz. His debut album Amorandom (Edition Records, 2016) with the Aki Rissanen Trio was critically acclaimed around the world and earned him a reputation on the European scene.
