Kriwi

Kriwi (Minsk-Berlin) is an ethno-fusion band. Experimenting with the line-up – from trio to a full-fledged band, as well as with sound – from chamber acoustics to jazz - rock and electronic, Kriwi have always relied on Belarus folklore traditions in their work and presented the audience their understanding and interpretation of unique authentic material from various regions of their homeland, which they have acquired personally. The music of Kriwi is a combination of female three-voice polyphonic singing, live looping, guitar, percussion instruments, electronics and video.The group often performs in collaboration with other musicians.
