"Where is the youth / Youth / Youth / Youth / Youth / Youth / Youth / It's time to know", shouted Douglas McCarthy 1986 in Murderous, four years after the foundation of the band in the English town of Chelmsford and one year before their breakthrough in the scene on Daniel Miller's Mute label. Today these words sound as actual as ever since. The EBM pioneers have seen more than three decades of youth come and go, but today electronic body music seems to experience a broad revival among the scenes of techno, dark wave and gothic. Finally Nitzer Ebb will also perform at the steel corset at Wriezener Bahnhof after having Fixmer/McCarthy as guests several times over the years and after Terence Fixmer (who has also released a new album recently) becoming a Berghain resident. Simon Granger will be on stage for the first time after eight years including an impressive backup catalogue which can also be found on the new box set Nitzer Ebb 1982-2010 on Pylon Records. After Nitzer Ebb's live performance companion Terence Fixmer and resident Marcel Dettmann continue with a b2b set.
