Koko Kabamba
Fotografie, Video | Koko Byamungu Kabamba is an artist from the Democratic Republic of Congo who first came into contact with contemporary art in 2009. He then learned about the world of applied arts, with a focus on the audiovisual field, by training at CHANEL CAFÉ/Production & Management and the Institut Congolaise d'Audio-visuel (I.C.A), among others.
Koko Kabamba practices various artistic media, from sculpture to painting and performance to photography and video, both in art and documentary. His work highlights the search for identity in a formerly colonized Africa, still marked by the influences of this metamorphic political system. Globalization and the changes that the world is going through, both on the physical and invisible side, lead Koko to work in the environmental field.
