Kiev Office
Kiev Office is a group from the sea and dreams, founded in 2007 in Gdynia by Michał Miegoń (wok, guitar, cl). For many years it has been providing loud melodies and abstract lyrics with a strong rhythmic foundation (Krzysztof Wroński - drums, Joanna Kucharska - bass). Kiev has given over 150 concerts in Poland and abroad, including festivals such as Jarocin, Heineken Open'er Festival, Węgorzewo, MusikDirekt Fest in Swedish Kalmar. They have five albums to their credit, each presenting a different face and playing with forms – from the indie rock hit petard Jest Taka Opcja, through experimental magnum opus inspired by totart Anton Globba, to ambiguous, messy and shocking with sincere positive energy Zamenhofa.
The biggest asset of Kiev Office for a long time have been: madness, spontaneity, captivating garage dirt. But we must not forget that this is complemented by Michał Miegoń's characteristic production, abstract lyrics and unexpected stylistic volts which result in songs that are at least surprising. However, they still follow traditions: alternative rock, post punk and new wave.
