Kids of Adelaide
Who thinks about a duo from Southern Australia hearing the band's name is geographically situated several thousand cilometers wrong as Severin Specht and Benjamin Nolle come from Stuttgart, Germany. The song Long Way is about the long way to Adelaide which the two see metaphorically as their own history.
Severin and Benjamin had the idea to play music together in 2010 when Severin toured as a guest musician with Benjamin's former band The Rising Rocket. As the two are united through their shared passion for acoustic guitar folk they decide to start a duo.
The Kids of Adelaide start their "long journey" in the streets of Stuttgart where they win a small fan base. These fans of course also want to take something home, and so the first album Songs For You And Me is released in 2011. The dup still distributes it on their own.
Their way leads the Kids of Adelaide to many German clubs in the meantime. Nevertheless, they can still be found in the streets of big cities.
