Jessy Lanza will perform in Warsaw, at the Chmury club. The artist will appear in Poland as part of the promotion of her recently released mix in the DJ Kicks series.

Jessy Lanza is a Canadian artist specialising in electronic sounds drawing on art pop, R&B, bass music, footwork and more. She has released three albums: Pull My Hair Back (2013), Oh No (2016) and All the Time – all of which were received very positively among critics. Jessy Lanza grew up playing piano and clarinet before going to Concordia University to study jazz. She was a school music teacher before launching her career as a singer and music producer. She was named as one of the best new artists of 2013 by XLR8R, and her debut album was included in many lists of the best albums of the year.

Now her mix has been released as part of the iconic DJ-Kicks series. It is promoted by the single Seven 55, recorded in collaboration with Loraine James. Jessa's compilation for DJ-Kicks has come at just the right time - the world is slowly starting to reopen, and the disc itself is a portal to the dancefloor that transports listeners into a state of pure euphoria. I made this mix to connect the dots. The tracks I put on it are ones that people respond to enthusiastically, no matter where in the world I'm playing. There always has to be a melody in every track - whether it's vocal or rhythmic. There has to be something catchy, joyful and something that connects you with the listener.
