Jarek Oberbek
Jarek Oberbek - theatre and television actor, singer. A graduate of the British London College of Music in musical theatre acting (he graduated with honours under William Lester). As part of his degree he played the title role in the musical Dracula (music and libretto by Alex Loveless, directed by David Henson). In 2015 he received the prestigious Griffith's Prize, awarded for outstanding interpretation of the sung word. He took his first steps in the profession at the Accantus Studio and the Rampa Theatre in Warsaw, where he appeared in the musicals: The Shadow, The Enchanted, A Christmas Carol, The World of Bastian and The Stranger. He currently lives in Kraków. In 2018, he played the title role in Piotr Tchaikovsky's opera Eugene Onegin, directed by Błażej Peszek. For several years he has been associated with the Groteska Theatre in Kraków, where he can be seen in the musical productions Adventures of a Cheating Flea directed by Anna Seniuk, Beauty and the Beast directed by Jerzy Jan Połoński and Wild Swans directed by Jerzy Bielunas. He performs in philharmonics all over the country and also runs a YouTube channel called Podróż Musicalowa, whose mission is to promote musicals in Poland. In 2020, he was awarded a scholarship by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. He finds himself in entertainment, classical and musical repertoire. He is fascinated by the English language, loves to travel and cook.
