Jakub Lubowicz
Jakub Lubowicz graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw (classical piano) and the Academy of Music in Katowice (jazz piano). He is a laureate of classical and jazz piano competitions. As a composer, arranger and music director, he cooperates with many Polish theatres (National Theatre, Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic in Białystok, Musical Theatre in Gdynia, Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, Musical Theatre in Poznań, Musical Theatre Roma, Palladium Theatre and Studio Buffo in Warsaw, Musical Theatre in Szczecin, Atelier Theatre in Sopot, Juliusz Osterwa Theatre in Lublin). Co-author (with his brother David) of the music to the musical Pilots.
He is a lecturer at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he teaches students of the Faculty of Vocal and Acting (specialisation: musical), and is also a teacher at the F. Chopin Secondary Music School Complex. Since 2014, he has been working with the Okularnicy Foundation, where, as a music director and arranger, he prepares, among other things, the gala shows of the Remember Osiecka festival. As a pianist and session musician, he has performed on dozens of albums by other artists. In addition to musicals and theatre productions, he has composed many instrumental pieces and songs. In 2018, he was the conductor and author of musical arrangements for the ZAiKS Authors' Association 100th Anniversary Gala.
