Galeria Kotłownia Politechniki Krakowskiej
More than 120 years ago, on the site of today's Conference and Exhibition Pavilion "Kotłownia" there was a stable for the officers' horses of Archduke Rudolf. When the barracks buildings were taken over by the Krakow University of Technology after the Second World War, a boiler house—or kotłownia, as Poles call it—was located there. Today it is a modern building where scientific and cultural life flourishes.
The pavilion has 450 square metres of floor space, including a large conference room with 220 seats (40 of which are on the mezzanine) and a gallery with two exhibition rooms on the ground floor, intended mainly for exhibitions of works by students, staff and professional artists. The Kotłownia has also been adapted to the needs of people with mobility impairments.
