Galeria Autorska of Jan Kaja and Jacek Soliński in Bydgoszcz was established on June 16, 1979. In the 1980s, it belonged to the few private galleries in Poland. The creators of the Gallery: painter Jan Kaja and graphic artist Jacek Soliński (both born in 1957) described their undertaking as non-institutional, independent, open, still searching and evolving. The nature of the Gallery's activities is in the formula of interpenetrating fields: art, photography, conceptualism, poetry, literature, theater, music and philosophy. Her current image was made up of many years of experience in publishing and display, including figurative art with a metaphorical message, conceptual art, expressionism, metaphysical painting, visual poetry, post art, book art, and art related to the broadly understood sacrum.
