Fisz Emade Tworzywo
Fisz Emade Tworzywo - one of the most important bands on the Polish phonographic market. Since 2001 they released 10 albums maintained in the hip-hop or an eclectic, but still close to hip-hop style. They were the first to introduce soft sounds and lyrics in Polish hip-hop, referring to the style of Native Tongues. Since then, the brothers have been constantly experimenting, however, trying to combine all their inventions with one component – high quality and commitment.
In the concert version they perform as Fisz Emade Tworzywo with a strongly expanded line-up supported by excellent musicians. Their album Mamut, released in 2014, is one of the greatest achievements of the band. Recognized by many music journalists as a record of the year, it received Platinum Record status, and was also a laureate of Fryderyk (most important Polish music award) 2015 in the category Album of the Year in the Electronics/India/Alternative category. On March 9th a compilation of the band's recordings was released, summarizing the activity of Fisz Emade in the years 2000-2011. This was the time when the albums of Tworzywo were dominated by rap, narrative songs, not as melodious and sung as the later works. Distanced and humorous, but also reflective lyrics are often long monologues, narrative forms perfectly reflecting the musical atmosphere of the 90's, when hip hop was a kind of a revolutionary genre for the brothers. "Although it's difficult for me to define the genre of music we make today, there's no doubt that it wouldn't sound like that, and perhaps we wouldn't be on the music scene at all if it weren't for the hip-hop of the 90s and the music of such groups as Tribe Called Quest and Beastie Boys," says Fisz.
