Faust
The band Faust was formed in 1996, but went on hiatus after recording and releasing two full-length albums. It returned in 2019 with the album Wspólnota brudnych sumień, which was well received by critics, including being included in Musick Magazine's list of the most important albums of the past decade. Their niche is brutal - yet not devoid of melody - death and thrash metal with elements of black metal and Slavic ethnic music, whose key element is vocalist Maciej Bartkowski. His voice timbre is compared by music journalists to Chuck Billy of Testament. Since its reactivation, Faust's drummer Paweł Jaroszewicz, known from such bands as Vader, Antigama, Decapitated or Batushka, replaces him at some shows as Mateusz Wróbel.
