Exildiscount

Drew aka Exildiscount had his debut in Berlin nightlife in 2004 at SchwuZ. Since then, he has become a fixed constant of the queer scene of the German capital as a DJ.

In the beginning, the stylistic focus of his sets was mainly lying on indie rock, brit pop and similar music, but since a couple of years he has also been playing pure electro sets to make the dance floors move. On very special occasions he also plays pop music, for example at film parties or at private events such as weddings or birthdays.

Drew regards DJing as a form of art which is also, but never only, a service. A perfect DJ set means for him to understand the wishes and imaginations of a crowd ready to dance and to weave surprises and breaks into a set.

As he has been a musician since his early childhood, Drew has been producing own tracks with his computer under the alias Exildiscount since 2009. Apart from electronic dance music and remixes, he also composes advertisement melodies and sound logos or creates sounds for animation films.
