Enea Spring Break: Solar + Terrific Sunday + more

On the second day of Enea Spring Break in Blue Note you will hear Solar, Terrific Sunday, Holidays and Marysia Starosta.

Solar is a Polish rap artist who is mostly known for his collaboration project with Białas. He is also successful with his solo career, having been two times in the final stages of the Big Warsaw Freestyle Battle. Terrific Sunday is a Poznań-based quartet playing indie rock in the vein of Foals and Two Door Cinema Club. The Wczasy duo combines Polish cold wave with synth-pop hits in the style of the 80s and 90s. Strong, emotional Polish lyrics, hit songs, original music videos and lively concerts have recently made Wczasy famous among fans of Polish alternative music. Their debut album entitled Zawody won the hearts of many listeners and reviewers, and by some it was even perceived as a generational manifesto. The album found its way to various rankings of the best Polish records of 2018, among others on the beehype portal, where it took the place just behind the podium with the votes of 32 critics. Marysia Starosta is a composer, songwriter and vocalist known for her cooperation with Sokol, but above all an original and unique figure of the Polish music scene. In 2011 and 2013 she recorded two platinum-covered albums with Sokół – Czysta Brudna Prawda and Czarna biała Magia. As a guest artist she performed in recordings of such music groups and performers as: VNM, Robert M, Borys Szyc, Fu and Pokój z Widokiem na Wojnę. Marysia invited the Sampler Orchestra to collaborate on her latest solo album, entitled Ślubu Nie Będzie.
