Elk Narrow Gauge Railway
Ełcka Kolej Wąskotorowa (formerly Ełcka Kolej Dojazdowa, German Lycker Kleinbahn) - is one of the few railways of this type in Poland, functioning to this day. Its main task was to transport people from surrounding villages to Ełk, sometimes goods were also transported. Its operation was not interrupted by World War II or the change of nationality – until the 1990s it continued to serve as a regional source of transport. In 1991 the Ełk Narrow Gauge Railway was declared a monument. Since 2002 it has been running only tourist courses.
