Long-term lack of structural support. Defamatory scrawlings on walls. 40-day occupation of the Sejm. The measure disguised. People with disabilities say: "Basta! The starting point for work on the performance "Revolution, which was not there" was a protest of people with disabilities and their parents (RON), which began in the Sejm on 18 April and lasted until 27 May 2018.

The performance is not a reconstruction of events, but rather a play with the meanings and emotions that accompanied the protest. The stage will feature charismatic and painful real actors - those from Teatr 21, who have been creating their characters and actors of the Warsaw Biennale with self-irony and courage for years. Live music will be provided by the Pokusa band. The protest, which the whole Poland watched in the spring, left behind not only disappointment and painful testimony to the marginalization of the needs of people with disabilities. He also left behind archives - banners, letters and postcards written to and by protestors. They will be used by the actors of the "Revolution, which was not there", from the stage asking about what happened in the Sejm, about the image of people with disabilities in Poland, and finally also about whether the community of people with disabilities can integrate in a common cause. The theatrical revolution will give viewers and actors a chance to check whether the social conviction that people with disabilities have to give up their professional development, limit their needs to a minimum social level, and their private life to stay in flats and specialist centres - is in line with their needs?

"The Revolution That Wasn't" is a spectacle driven by the tension between the established norm and the deviation from it; between the unspeakable moral criteria and the actors' personal needs and opinions shouted out of the stage. It is a theatre that explores the space between what is open and what is (yet) hidden.
