Teatr Jaracza

The theatre was founded in 1925 as a gift to the people of Allenstein for their victory in the plebiscite. Hence its name - "Der Treudanktheater". (from German "In gratitude for his loyalty"), under which he functioned until 1945. On 18 November 1945, the theatre first appeared as a Polish stage under the name of Teatr Warmii i Mazur. Since 1946 the institution has functioned under the current name of the Stefan Jaracz Theatre.

Apart from its strictly repertoire activity, the Stefan Jaracz Theatre organizes two theatre festivals during the artistic season: The Olsztyn Theatre Meetings and the New Europe-Demoludy International Theatre Festival.
