Centre for Creative Activities
The Centre for Creative Activity was established as a result of the modernisation of an old granary, in which until recently only part of the space was occupied by the Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art. Currently, the entire granary has been taken over by the Baltic Gallery for Contemporary Art in Slupsk under the name Centre for Creative Activity. It is the first centre of its kind in Poland and one of very few in Europe and the world.
The Centre for Creative Activity was created for artists, but also for the local community. It provides both artists and the community with studios: a sculpture and ceramics studio, a computer graphics studio and a film studio with state-of-the-art equipment and software. The Creative Activity Centre also has a lecture room and an exhibition hall. Modernly equipped accommodation with café facilities is prepared for artist-in-residence stays. The Creative Activity Centre is a place for interdisciplinary activities for the visual arts in the broadest sense. Film, music, theatre and performance projects are realised here. It is a place for "happening" in the broad sense of the term: as artistic activities, meetings, conversations and exchange of creative thoughts and ideas.
