BONSAI KITTEN

BONSAI KITTEN is a german rock band from Berlin, that was formed by singer Tiger Lilly Marleen in 2005. The name Bonsai Kitten is derived from the internet hoax that appeared in the year 2000. On the 27th of February 2007 the band released their first EP Bonsai Kitten exclusively for the Japanese market, through rockabilly label Downer Records. The EP features six covers of different songs as well as two original songs. Since their first release BONSAI KITTEN has played shows all over Europe and has been booked as the support act for a lot of bands. They have played at festivals in Germany, as well as at international festivals like Biranthology Fest (Italy) and Bedlam Breakout (England). Their third album Occupy Yourself! was released in 2014. Until 2014 BONSAI KITTEN played in their own 'Killbilly' style, a mix between punk 'n' roll with rock influences. They then changed out the contrabass for an e-bass and their style became more rock, with influences from rock 'n' roll, punk and rock music being more easily discernible.
