Bikini Berlin

Bikini Berlin is a listed building complex right next to the Berlin Zoo, which offers shopping in the shopping mall, culinary delights in restaurants, workplaces, leisure activities, exhibitions and various events. The building includes the Bikinihaus, the Zoo Palast cinema, the parking garage at the Aquarium, the high-rise building at Hardenbergplatz and the small high-rise building with the 25hours Hotel. The green oasis and 7000 m² roof terrace, Bikini Berlin Shopping Garden, also provides an outdoor recreation area and a view over the neighboring Tiergarten.

Until the end of the 1960s, several fashion companies settled in the complex and stood empty until 2014. Bayerische Hausbau, which has the site in Munich, renovated and built the new concept, the centerpiece of which is the Bikinihaus. This is also the namesake for the center, as its architecture is reminiscent of the daring new swimwear of the time, the bikini.

An integral part of the shopping mall are the modular pop-up boxes, which give well-known brands the opportunity to launch a new product on the market and also make it easier for young designers to present their work to the public for the first time.

The unique location combined with the architecture represents the special identity and philosophy of Bikini Berlin. The duality of combining sustainability with innovation, urbanity with nature and historical awareness with the future transforms a living space into an experience space.
