Big Collective Band
Big Collective Band is a classic jazz big band reactivated after many years by Wiesław Pieregorólka at the instigation and initiative of Grzech Piotrowski. It is a duo where, on the one hand, Wiesław Pieregorólka, a renowned Polish band leader, composer, arranger and producer of many historical recordings (including Andrzej Zaucha), and on the other hand, Grzech, a saxophonist famous for his musical imagination and original ideas such as World Orchestra. BCB performed the soundtrack to the film Excentrycy, i.e. on the sunny side of the street. The film was used as the basis for the musical Król Swing, which attracted over 8000 spectators during the first three concerts.
Today's Big Collective Band is a combination of legends of Polish jazz, experience and youth. Apart from Henryk Miśkiewicz, Jerzy Główczewski, Wojciech Gogolewski and Robert Majewski, you can hear Grzegorz Nagorski, Maciej Sikała, Jacek Namysłowski, Robert Murakowski, Marcin Jahr and Marek Podkowa, among others, who are considered to be the leaders of Polish jazz of the young generation.
