Bang Yong-guk, also known mononymously as Yongguk, is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and best-selling author who served as the leader of boy group B.A.P until 2018. Bang is predominantly a hip-hop artist and cites 50 Cent, P. Diddy, and Pharrell as musical influences; his lyrics are unusually poignant for K-pop, often inspired by his mental health struggles and socially conscious. His solo debut, Bangyongguk, was released in 2019; after a two-year military stint, he returned to the in 2021 and released a follow-up EP, The Colors of Love, in 2023.
