Bałtycka Galeria Sztuki Współczesnej

The Baltic Contemporary Art Gallery is the only institution in the Slupsk sub-region (the area of the former Slupsk voivodeship) to promote contemporary art. It has three showrooms: the Chamber Gallery located at 31a Partyzantów Street, the Witches' Tower at Francesco Nullo Avenue and Centre for Creative Activity in Ustka at 1a Zaruskiego Street.

In its facilities, the Bałtycka Galeria Sztuki Współczesnej conducts various forms of activity related to the dissemination of contemporary art: exhibitions. The best artists from Poland and abroad are invited to participate in the exhibition programme. Since 2013, it has hosted resident artists. The most important educational forms include lectures on contemporary art and art workshops, art lessons. Art workshops are conducted in two newly established studios: the computer and film graphics studio and the sculpture and ceramics studio.

In addition to its exhibition and educational activities, the Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art also organises the cyclical All-Polish Youth Art Biennale "Rybie Oko" and international meetings with artists. In August 2001, the Bałtycka Galeria Sztuki Współczesnej was ranked first in a ranking of the best Polish contemporary art galleries operating outside the big cities and art centres. The ranking was compiled by the weekly magazine Newsweek Polska. The offer of the Bałtycka Galeria Sztuki Współczesnej is used by approximately 20,000 people a year.
