Berlin-based artist, singer and songwriter of German origin. It gained fame as the discovery of Geoff Barrow of Portishead, who invited her to recordings with his experimental project - BEAK>. The result of this collaboration were two records released in hip-hop label Stones Throw and Invad, led by Barrow himself. Charisma Anika, an unusual, extremely magnetizing vocal combined with BEAK's motor music, has resulted in original, misplaced covers recorded in the spirit of No Wave.
