Akwarium - Skwer Hoovera
H. Hoover's garden is an example of a modern public space harmoniously harmonizing with strictly historical context. The square of the square, located between the monuments of Adam Mickiewicz and Our Lady of Passau, is part of the historic layout of Krakowskie Przedmieście. The selection of materials used in the construction of modern, economical in form, new facilities such as: a cafe pavilion, a kiosk, public toilets, an underground restaurant and a gallery also refers to the historical context. A valuable old tree stand was also preserved and it was supplemented with new plantings of trees and shrubs. A special attraction for users are "water steps" closing the square from the south, and also located on the opposite side of the wooden deck, allowing, along with the surrounding lawn space, free rest.
